About Vulcan Snow Park

Vulcan Snow Park is an annual event organized and managed by the Imperial Order of Fire & Brimstone (the Saint Paul Vulcans), a 501(c)(6) organization, that takes place concurrently with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival. Entirely dependent on volunteers, Vulcan Snow Park takes as many as 21 days to create, runs for the full ten days of Winter Carnival, and draws more than 75,000 visitors. This community event would not be possible without the generosity of sponsors and organizations that support the cause through the donation of goods, services, and dollars.

The mission of Vulcan Snow Park is to host the premier multi-day event of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival by providing free, family-friendly entertainment activities that appeal to children and adults of all ages. We strive to make the Minnesota State Snow Sculpting Competition one of the best state competitions in the country, with the winners advancing to nationals. By accomplishing this, we showcase the great city of Saint Paul and the State of Minnesota.
