The giant snow slide is a Vulcan Snow Park crowd favorite. It puts smiles on thousands of children’s faces, allows adults to relive cherished childhood memories, and brings the community together to have fun. After all, who doesn’t have fun going down a hill on a sled?
Measuring 20 feet high and more than 300 feet long, the slide is open on both weekends of Vulcan Snow Park—weather permitting. (The slide will close if weather conditions are dangerous to volunteers and visitors.) Watch here for specific hours of operation and closure announcements.

Food Drive
Help Vulcan Snow Park collect food for Second Harvest Heartland! Plan now to bring your non-perishable food item to Vulcan Snow Park and get a free ride down the giant snow slide during scheduled slide hours. |
ScheduleImportant: Do not climb or use the snow slide outside of official operating hours. Do not climb or play on the sides of the snow slide at any time. These rules are for your own safety, to protect expensive lighting and equipment, and to prevent damage to the sled runs. We also need time for daily repairs to the slide to take effect so that we can open the slide again on schedule.
The following schedule is tentative and subject to change. The slide will be closed if conditions are dangerously cold or very inclement. Check the schedule for closure announcements before traveling to Vulcan Snow Park.

CostRides are $2 per run or $15 for an all-day wristband and include use of a sled (provided at the top of the slide). All ticket proceeds are used to cover the cost of building the slide and Vulcan Snow Park.
